Every product sold makes a donation to The Ocean Azores Foundation. On January 1 2024 we will launch our new gin range, Ghosts of The Ocean. Enabling us to expand our range of spirits, the donation to the foundation will remain for each product and our work will increase to help protect the ocean that surrounds the islands we call home.

ALI BULLOCK
Everything started in 2006 on a trip to the Azores. In 2018 we returned to the island of Sáo Miguel to start work on the restoration of The Solar Branco Eco Estate. As COVID hit in 2020 I decided to work on creating a gin. That gin would be called Baleia and would fund the application of the Azores to be a Whale Heritage Site.
In 2023 this target was achieved and so Baleia in its current limited edition will end production to be replaced by our new gin range, Ghosts of The Ocean. As we expand our range of spirits, the donation to the foundation will remain for each product and our work will increase to help protect the ocean that surrounds the islands we call home.

São Miguel based gin expert Ali Bullock, owner of the world-renowned Gin Library.
Caroline Sprod – Brains
Co-owner of The Solar Branco Eco Estate, a leading eco hotel in the Azores.
Catarina “Lemon” Limao – Artist
São Miguel born artist in residence at The Solar Branco Eco Estate.
Joao Couto – Botanicals
Joao helped advise on the taste of Baleia, and was key in helping us integrate seaweed.
